$2.00/day Food Challenge Post #15:Lunch

One of my favorite things ever...pea shoots. $0.99 per pound.

Really easy to cook.

Rinse the pea shoots, I used a quarter of a pound. Drain. It's okay if they're still a little wet. Take a bit of ground pork, I'm using about 3 tablespoons worth and season with a teaspoon of soy sauce, teaspoon of Shaoshing rice wine and enough corn starch to make the mixture dry and a bit sticky.

Peel 3 cloves of garlic.

Heat up a wok, add oil and toss in garlic. Cook until slightly browned. Toss in the pork, break up with cooking utensil and leave alone for a minute. You want to brown it a bit. After it's a little brown, start stir-frying and breaking up any clumps of meat. When the ground meat has changed color, toss in the pea sprouts. Stir fry until it's all slightly wilted, season with salt to taste and your done. Done! Serve with plenty of rice.
